brokeness
I think there will always be disappointment in life. We are broken people living in a broken world. It would be foolish for any of us to think that we can shield oursleves from dissapointment. However there is a hope.
Our hope is that our dissapointment is not for nothing. Our hope is that our dissapointment is building our character as it says in James 1:3-4 NIV:
because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
I have faced many disspaoitnments in my life; some more painful than others. But in each dissapointment I can see God talking to me and guiding me towards Him. God wants us to accept Him and make Him the center of our lives so we will lack nothing because He is everything we need.
I know there will be some hardship in this world that I will never experience. And it can be hard for someone to relate to me. However, there is a man that suffered the most painful experience a man could ever endure. That man is Jesus and he was crucified on a cross. Despite the pain and suffering, Jesus leaned on God for his strength and endurance because he knows that his suffering is not for nothing. His suffering brought salvation to the world.
If you are going through hardship or struggles. I want to let you know that you are not alone, and it is not for nothing. God is a good God, he is a loving God that has a perfect plan for you. Pray to God and talk to him as it says in 1 Peter 5:7 NIV:
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Like a young child in the care of his father. Run into His arm and He will care for you and heed your request. Continue to preserve in life knowing that soon our brokeness will be repaired and the hardship of this world will be vaporised.
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:1-4 NIV
